Urges Governor to intervene

Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has demanded additional examination centres in Kashmir for NEET SS aspirants.
The doctors doing their PG courses are appearing the exam scheduled on June 28, 2019, in online Mode for which the registration has already started from 8th May.
The DAK said in a statement that MD/MS doctors presently working in various hospitals of the valley had approached it over the matter.
“The candidates were dismayed by the lackadaisical attitude of the authorities in failing to get sufficient number of examination centers in Kashmir,” it said.
President DAK, Dr Suhail Naik has taken a strong note of this concern of aggrieved candidates.
“It is very unfortunate that every time we are made to beg to authorities to get sufficient number of examination centers to Kashmir so that our candidates are not made to suffer but it seems that our demands are falling to deaf ears,” the statement quoted him having said.
Dr Naik further said, “It’s regretful that at present only a miniscule number of candidates will appear in the said examination at Kashmir Center due to limited number of seats for unknown reasons thus forcing the candidates to opt for the centers in states which will mar the health care badly during those days in addition causing unnecessary trouble to candidates”.
Dr Naik has urged the Governor, Satyapal Malik to take up the matter with appropriate authorities for increasing the number of centers so that the candidates are not made to suffer unnecessarily.
