Srinagar: Police seized 15 quintals of subsidized rice from an Auto Load Carrier near Maisuma Bund on Tuesday.
Officers investigating the case have arrested a shopkeeper, Mudasir Ahmad Rah, who, as per police was “rebranding the rice at Nai Sarak Kralkhud”.
An auto driver Sami-ul-lah Tharno also has been arrested.
Both remain in police custody, they said.
Police said that the Auto Load Carrier used in the commission of offence has been also seized.
