JKTA meets secretary school education to discuss pending issues of erstwhile SSA teachers

Srinagar: A delegation of JK Teachers Association (JKTA) on Monday held a meeting with secretary school education department, Sarita Chauhan regarding the pending issues of teachers recruited under erstwhile SSA scheme.
The delegation discussed the delay in conversion of undergraduate teachers to Grade II teachers and regularization of SSA teachers who have completed their initial five year of services in the department more than two years ago.
The delegation also discussed the delay in conversion of erstwhile SSA teachers into teacher grade II who have enhanced their qualification to graduation while being in-service.
The delegation was led by chairman JKTA shah Fayaz who was accompanied by Syed Iftikhar Geelani, Hatim Qayoom, Shah Ashaq, Mir Imtayaz , Bilal Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad and other members of the association.
They association has urged the secretary for early release of pending salaries of SSA teachers keeping in view the bad situation faced by the teachers without their salaries in the month of Ramzan.
As per the hand out issued here, secretary school education department Sarita Chauhan has assured that they will implement the SAC decision in letter and spirit and cadre of erstwhile SSA teachers was a priority with the department. The secretary has said that every possible steps will be taken to resolve all pending issues of erstwhile SSA teachers.
