4 arrested for gambling offences in Pulwama
Pulwama: Acting tough against social crimes, Police on Monday raided a gambling site and arrested four persons following a credible input about gambling offences in village Petipora in Lassipora of Pulwama, a police statement said.
It said that the Officers from the local police unit while making the arrests seized stake money of Rs 20,000 from the gamblers.
“A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Litter and investigation has been initiated,” the statement said.
“Community members are requested to cooperate with police in curbing social crimes in their neighbourhood. They can share information pertaining to social crimes with police. We reassure the community members that our efforts in curbing social crimes shall continue,” it said.
