Sumbal Rape Case: Protests in IUST
Srinagar: Protests erupted at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora on Monday against the rape of a three-year-old girl in Sumbal area of Bandipora district in north Kashmir.
A University student said that besides students, the teaching, non-teaching staff, deans of various departments, also participated in the protestp.
He said that the protesting students and faculty members demanded stern action against the accused.Massive protests have erupted across Kashmir on Monday with the people demanding speedy trial in the case.
