Srinagar: President, Municipal Committee Charar-e-Sharif (MCCS) Thursday alleged that incumbent Executive Officer of the Committee has not only resorted to fake appointments but also has been demanding bribe from the employees before releasing their salaries.
Addressing a press conference, President, Municipal Committee Charar-e-Sharif, Zahid Jan said that they are unable to work for the welfare of the people due to incompetence of the incumbent Executive Officer.
He said the Executive Office instead of using tax payers money for the benefit of the town residents has spending it on the salaries of the employees who have been appointed through fake orders.
“You levy taxes and then spend the sum on salaries. And when you release the salaries, you demand bribe from the employees and these are the same employees who have been adjusted in the Committee through fake orders. How can this Executive Officer expect respect from the same employees from whom he demands bribe. The condition of MCCS is pathetic where the present Executive Officer is indulging in massive malpractices,” Zahid Jan told Reporters.
He said that there are only 9 Sweepers to maintain the sanitation of the town. “We require at least 40 sweepers. Employees who grease the palms of Executive Officer are not punctual. The developmental works has hit because the money collected from people is being spent on salaries,” he alleged. (CNS)
