Partial shutdown in Sopore over killing of native militant in Shopian gunfight
Sopore: A shutdown is being observed in parts of Sopore subdivision of Baramulla district over the killing of a local militant in Shopian gunfight on Friday morning.
“Shops in various markets are shut and vehicular movement on roads is also witnessing a dip,” locals said. t
The slain ISJK militant, Ishfaq Ahmed Sofi who was killed in a gunfight with government forces at Amshipora area of Shopian. He was a resident of Model town locality of Sopore.
Meanwhile authorities have ordered closure of all educational institutions including colleges and higher secondaries in sub division Sopore.
High speed mobile internet remains suspended in the area as well.
