NIA issues 2nd summon to Geelani’s grandson
Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued second summon to Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani’s grandson, Anees-ul-Islam Shah for questioning.
Anees is a son of incarcerated Hurriyat (G) leader Altaf Shah (Fantoosh).
The summon has asked Anees to appear for questioning at NIA headquarters in New Delhi on May 6. He was earlier summoned on April 29.
“Whereas it appears that you are acquainted with the circumstances of the case noted below, which is now under investigation by the NIA, New Delhi, you are hereby required to appear at National Investigation Agency, Ministry of Home Affairs, Opposite CGO Complex, Lodhi road New Delhi-110003 on 06.05.2019 at 1000 hrs for the purpose of your examination relating to the case,” reads then NIA summon.
Anees’s father, Altaf Shah was arrested in the year 2017 by the NIA along with several other Hurriyat leaders in an alleged funding case. (KNS)
