Father allegedly slits 4 year old son’s throat, arrested
Srinagar: A man has been arrested in south Kashmir’s Kokernag area for allegedly trying to slit his 4 year old son’s throat, police said Friday.
A minor boy identified as Usman Gowhar was rushed to District hospital Anantnag in critical condition after his throat was slit allegedly by his father, a police official said.
He said that the boy has been treated and his condition was stated to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, officials in the District Hospital Anantnag said that a four-year-old boy was brought to the hospital on Friday in a critical condition as his throat was slit while his arm was also having cuts at several places.
They said that boy is undergoing treatment and his condition is stable.
However, police sources said that the accused, Gowhar Ahmed Dar has been arrested while a case under RPC 307, 32/2019 has been registered in this regard.
They said that investigation has also been started.
