Elderly killed by speeding truck in Sopore
Sopore: A 65-year-old woman died after a speeding truck hit her near Model Town Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.
Reports said that after the accident, the elderly pedestrian identified as Noora Begum w/o Abdul Ahad Dar, a resident of Model Town Sopore was rushed to SDH Sopore where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
The truck driver fled from the spot as per reports.
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and has taken up further investigation, a police official said.
