Missing south Kashmir woman, her two month baby traced

Srinagar: In third such incident within a week, Police on Thursday traced a south Kashmir woman and her 2-months-old baby from Srinagar and handed them over to the family.
A police statement said that the missing lady’s husband, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, a resident of Patipora had lodged a complaint at Police Post Lassipora saying his wife along with her 2-months-old baby were missing from their home since April 6.
“On receipt of this missing report, a special team was constituted at PP Lassipora to trace out the missing persons,” it said.
After searches at different places in the area and “strenuous efforts” of the team, the statement added that the missing duo was traced from Srinagar “with the help of community members”.
The duo has been handed over to their family after completion of legal formalities.
“Pertinently, it is a third such case in the current week in which police has been able to recover the missing person,” the statement added.
