India Pakistan armies trade gunfire along LOC in Poonch, schools in Kerni sector closed
Jammu: Following cross LOC exchange of gunfire between India and Pakistan armies in Kerni sector of Poonch district in Jammu division of the state authorities on Thursday ordered closure of educational institutions in the area.
District Magistrate Poonch ordered that all Schools of Kerni Sector are hereby closed today on 02.05.2019 due to crossborder shelling.
Exchange of gunfire between the two sides erupted in Shahpur & kirni Sectors in District Poonch(J&K) at about 0930 hours.
Officials told KNO that Pakistatn initiated Unprovoked Cease Fire Violation starting with Firing of Small Arms followed by Shelling with Mortars.
“Indian Army is retaliating beffitingly,” they said.(KNO)
