DGP Sanctions ‘Retirement Gift’ of over Rs 1Crore in favour of 177 personnel
JAMMU: Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh Wednesday sanctioned ‘retirement gift’ worth rupees one crore six lakh and twenty thousand in favour of 177 police personnel of J&K Police who superannuated from their services last month.
A police statement said that benefits worth Rs 60,000 each had been sanctioned out of the Contributory Police Welfare Fund on their superannuation or voluntarily retirement.
The benefits were sanctioned in favour of 7 Gazetted Officers, 121 Non-Gazetted officers, 44 lower subordinates and 5 followers. The personnel belonged to different units and wings of the department.
Police said that the gift “serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department”.
