Two dead, eleven injured in Gurez accident
Srinagar: A minor girl and an elderly woman were killed and eleven others suffered injuries in a road accident in Gurez area of Bandipora district on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses said that a vehicle bearing registration No. JK01F-6330 skidded off the road near Zadikhusi Nallah in Gurez Valley.
Officials said that the vehicle was on its way to Gurez from Bandipora. The vehicle fell into a gorge killing the minor and elderly woman while injuring 11 others.
The deceased were identified as Nani Begum and Tabasum Jan as per an official.
Meanwhile, a police official said that a case had been registered and further investigations were taken up in this regard. He added that among eleven, two persons are in critical conditions.
