Marathon held in downtown Srinagar
Srinagar: ‘Kathi Junction Downtown’ And ‘The Chinar Events’ Saturday organised old city’s first Marathon ‘I Run For Health And Wellness Marathon 2019” on Saturday.
More than 200 school students from different schools of downtown participated in the marathon.
The Marathon, which was flaged off by Sheikh Ghulam Hasaan, Head of Sales Pepsi, started from Main Chowk, Nowhatta To Badamwari.
Organiser of the event, Abrar Malik said despite being hugely affected by conflict, students in downtown had much passion to participate in such events.
The event was supported by different NGOs and organisations which also are based in downtown.
The participants requested the organisers to hold more such sports activities in downtown area.
