Two drug peddlers arrested in Srinagar, contraband seized

Srinagar: Police Friday arrested two drug peddlers from the city and recovered contraband from their possession.
The police said that one Amir Gulzar Seeno, son of Late Abdul Ahad, a resident of Boatman Colony, Bemina was arrested for the drug supply offences by a police party from Police Station Raj Bagh.
They said that “some quantity of banned drugs Spasmoproxyvon was recovered” from the arrested man.
“When the investigating officers spoke to Gulzar they learnt about the involvement of another person from the area in the drug peddling identified as Tariq Ahmed Nago son of Abdul Khaliq Nago, a resident of Habba Kadal, presently residing at Rawalpora Wanbal Chak,” the police added.
It said that a police party led by SDPO Sadder, arrested Tariq from Rawalpora where huge quantity of banned drugs including tablets, capsules and various other banned material was recovered.
Police said Tariq was a “notorious drug peddler and several cases already stand registered against him”.
It also said that an FIR under relevant sections of law had been registered in Police Station Raj Bagh and investigation had been taken up.
