Srinagar: J&K Civil Secretariat Employees Coordination Committee has announced a protest programme on May 6 against the administration’s alleged indifference towards their demands. Government offices will reopen in Srinagar that day as part of the annual Darbar Move.
“All the employees will assemble in the Secretariat Lawns with black bands on arm to show resentment against the State Administration for not settling any issue instead of commitment made by Chief Secretary from time to time,” the employee’s body said in a statement after a meeting.
“Estates, Finance, Planning and GAD Departments shall remain locked on the first day of opening 6th May 2019 as they failed to clear proposals like cadre review, slot issue, promotion proposals, SRO 202, road map of clearing illegal allotments, “it said.
The committee has urged all employees to follow the programme, saying it will continue to work for “the welfare of employees and will not allow miscreants/Govt agents to succeed in their nefarious designation. “
It said Darbar Move employees suffered due to mismanagement of National Highway as “employees stuck on road for days together especially advance Parties.”
