Kishtwar Killings: Members of Sanatan Dharam Sabha ransack DC office in Kishtwar
Rajouri : Protesters belonging to Sanatan Dharam Sabha on Saturday ransacked Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kishtwar in Jammu division of the state.
According to KNO correspondent protesters were demanding fast track probe into the killing of right wing organisation RSS’s leader Chandarkant Sharma who was killed along with his PSO in the hospital he worked in.
SDS had called for a band against what they termed as ‘callous attitude of government’ in probing the killing of the RSS leader.
Reports said that the protesters assembled at Char Chinar area and raised slogans against the investigation agencies for ‘lackadasical approach in the case’.
“Protests turned violent and they barged inside the DC’s office and ransacked the ground floor of the office. They damaged almost every thing there,” they said.
Police and paramilitary personnel were rushed to the spot to control the protests and to bring the situation under control.
They have also damaged the vehicles outside the office.(KNO)
