Farooq Abdullah condemns Sri Lankan bombings

Srinagar: National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Monday condemned bomb attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka that left over 200 deaths and many injured.
Farooq while condemning the attack said, “The attack is a dreaded reminder of the fact that terror has no religion. I take this opportunity to extend my condolences to all those Sri Lankans who are aggrieved at the loss of their loved ones. My thoughts are with the injured, I pray for their fast recovery”.
While praying that “the world does not have to see such outrageous attacks in the future that claim many precious lives, he added, “ the perpetrators of the heinous crime should be brought to justice and served exemplary punishment.”
Meanwhile, a delegation led by party’s minority cell coordinator Sardar Jagjeet Singh Azad called upon the senior party leader Mian Altaf Ahmad at his residence to condole the demise of his daughter.
