2-week ‘Faculty Development Programme on Machine Learning’ kick starts at BGSBU

Rajouri: A two-week long ‘Faculty Development Programme on Machine Learning’ (FDP-ML 2019) commenced on Monday at the Department of Computer Sciences, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri. Vice Chancellor BGSBU, Prof Javed Musarrat conveyed his joy and best wishes for the success of the programme.
Prof Musarrat congratulated the department for conducting the programme.
Head Department of Computer Sciences Dr Qamar Rayees Khan presented the welcome address and highlighted the objectives of the workshop. Dr Rayees informed the participants that the department of Computer Sciences will be offering one year advanced diploma in machine learning from forthcoming academic session. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Ashfaq Ahmad Zarri, Registrar , BGSBU lauded the efforts of the department and also emphasized on conducting more syuch programmes, which have a direct relevance to the corporate world.
Dean School of Education, Prof. M G M Malik appreciated the efforts of the department and the importance of such programmes for overall grooming of academia.
Prof M Asger, Dean School of Mathematical & Computer Science deliberated on the theme and its relevance in research and other applications using Machine Learning.
Present on the occasion were, Prof Naseem Ahmad, Dean, School of Management, Prof Shujauddin, Director, Biodiversity, BGSBU, Dr Majid Bashir Malik, Head, Department of Information technology, Dr Sanjay Jamwal , HODs, faculty members and research scholars of various department.
Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Sciences, Dr Mohammad Naseem presented the vote of thanks.
