Bootlegger arrested in Anantnag
Srinagar: Police in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district Thursday arrested a bootlegger at a checkpoint near Sangam and seized huge quantity of illicit liquor from his possession.
Officials at the checkpoint intercepted a Maruti vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-5012. On checking the vehicle huge quantity of illicit liquor was seized from the possession of Arif Ahmad resident of Qaimoh Khudwani Kulgam.
A police statement said that an FIR number 46/2019 under relevant sections of law had been registered and investigation taken up.
