LS Polls: Mendhar villages ‘boycott’ voting over basic amenities
POONCH: Voters of Balnoi village of Sub Division Mendhar of Poonch District boycotted the Lok Sabha polls for nearly seven hours at two polling booths over lack of basic amenities .
The villagers cast their votes after intervention of senior officials from the administration including
DC Poonch Rahual Yadav, SDM Mendhar Dr Sahil Jandial and SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar.
Sector Magistrate of Mankote Tehsil along with Police Party reached the spot on the direction of DC Poonch to pacify the villagers at Polling Station No 9 and 10 (GNS)
