Ahatguri (Assam): BJP president Amit Shah Friday challenged Congress chief Rahul Gandhi to make his stand clear on National Conference Omar Abdullah’s demand for a separate Prime Minister in Kashmir.
Abdullah had recently made a statement that ”Kashmir must have a separate Prime Minister…..Can a country have two Prime Ministers. The Congress is silent on this”, Shah said at an election rally in this central Assam town.
”I want to ask Rahul Baba whether Congress supports this statement of Abdullah. I know he does not have the courage to say anything on this as it requires the guts to speak on it”, he said.
Prime Minister NarendraModi will form the government again but if in any case, ”we are in the opposition and they plan to materialise Abdullah’s proposal, then ‘hum jaankibaazilaagadenge’ (we will put our lives at stake) and not allow it at any cost”, he said.
”Kashmir will always remain a part of the country and we cannot allow it to have a separate Prime Minister”, he said.
The BJP president claimed that the NRC is a major step taken by prime ministerNarendraModi during the last five years to drive out illegal migrants from Assam.
”Give prime minister NarendraModi another five years, BJP will find out each illegal migrant and throw them out of the state. ‘Insaanbhikya, parindebhinahiaapayenge (Forget about people, even birds cannot enter)”, he said.
Shah said after the Pulwama attack in which 40 jawans were killed, the prime minister had directed the Air Force to enter Pakistan and destroy the terrorist camps there.
”There was an atmosphere of mourning in two places –Pakistan, which is understanable and the other in Congress camp at a time when the entire country was celebrating”, he said launching a blistering attack at the grand old party.
”I want to send a message to Rahul baba that it may be your policy to talk with terrorists but it is not BJP’s.
“Prime Minister NarendraModi’s principle is ‘wahan se goliaayegi, yahaan se golajayega’ (if we are attacked by bullet, we will reply with cannon balls. Bricks will be answered with rocks)”, the BJP president asserted. (PTI)
