Uri: Hailing people of Uri for their overwhelming response to AIP’s agenda of innovative and creative politics AIP President Er. Rasheed has said that people have rejected sectarian, regional and ethnic politics.
Addressing poll rallies in Rafiabad and Uri, Er. Rasheed said that people of Border areas are most misunderstood citizens of J&K as they have suffered on either sides of the LOC.
“Today’s response in Uri and other adjoining areas should be an eye opener for those who often claim that Kashmiris can be bribed or misled by anyone. People have grown mature and the sacrifices and sufferings of seventy years have made them politically mature and they can easily differentiate between their friends and foes. Those claiming to be landlords and princes of Uri should explain why Uri didn’t get its due share from NHPC and other mega projects which have benefitted no one except few families and blue eyed white collar bureaucrats and politicians,” Rasheed said.
He said that those trying to gain sympathy on sectarian lines are the biggest enemies of Kashmiris and are agents of New Delhi.
“While New Delhi has a deep agenda by creating ethnic and sectarian divide, these narrow-minded individuals are playing cheap politics just for getting votes without realizing the consequences of their dirty politics,” he said.
Er. Rasheed said that the overwhelming response being shown by people of north Kashmir has unnerved not only the regional parties but their masters everywhere.
“What Kashmiris need is a genuine honorable and acceptable resolution to seventy year long political dispute, end of animosity between New Delhi and Islamabad and a corruption free governance till final resolution of Kashmir dispute,” he added.
“Unfortunately the regional parties do not talk about Kashmir issues once the elections are over. However, in the season of elections they try to be more hardliners than Salah-ud-din, Geelani Sahab and Asiya Indrabi. Time has come to replace all these proxies and enemies of common man who have brought nothing except miseries and nepotism,” Rasheed said.
He said that it is proper time to give AIP and chance and ensure that voice of Kashmiris doesn’t go unheard within and outside India
While reacting to the ‘shameful’ orders of the government prohibiting vehicular traffic on Jammu Srinagar Highway on two days during a week, he said that this is the worst kind of dictatorship but the architects of such barbarian and inhumane orders should realize that it exposes New Delhi’s claims of J&K situation being under control.
Rasheed said that despite claiming to be a superpower New Delhi has failed to provide a world class road link between Jammu and Srinagar.
“Since the road has lost its utility and to hide the failures government is now giving lame excuses to show its colonial mind set, however, all such nefarious and sick minded decisions will be resisted by the masses,” the former legislator warned.
