Police solves theft case in Budgam, three arrested

Budgam: Police on Wednesday claimed to have solved a theft case in Budgam by arresting three persons in this regard, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that few days back, police received a written complaint from Branch Head E-com Express Office Budgam wherein he stated that during intervening night of 31/01-04-2019 some unknown thieves had barged into his office and had stolen cash from the locker.
On this information, a case FIR No. 70/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation was set into motion, the spokesman said.
During the course of investigation, many suspects were called for questioning. When the officers investigating the case spoke to one suspect AdilJahangeer Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar resident of RazwenBudgam, they learnt about his involvement in the crime and were able to recover an amount of rupees 3,65,340 based on his disclosure, the spokesman added.
Officers investigating the case have also arrested two accomplices of the accused involved in the crime who were identified as Muddasir Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar and Ummer Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani, both residents of RazwenBudgam.
