Sopore: Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) president and candidate for Baramulla constituency, Engineer Abdul Rasheed Sheikh on Saturday those voted in the past for parliament have acted as collaborators to strengthen his personal interests.
Er Rasheed as per a statement issue here visited various areas including Lathishart, Tujar, Tutigund, Neelipora Magam and other places in Sopore and Handwara assembly segment, asking people not to forget the fact that whosoever they have voted in the past for the parliament elections has acted as a collaborator to strengthen his personal interests.
He said the record of the parliament reveals that the MPs from J&K have been like mute spectators and have remained deaf and dumb whenever parliament was in session.
Questioning PDP leadership, Er Rasheed challenged Muzaffar Hussain Beigh to come out with a white paper and tell people about his performance in and outside parliament.
“The irony is that Beigh even forgot the voters of his own assembly segment and did not visit even the important towns falling in Baramulla parliamentary constituency. He just grabbed voters on the same pattern PC candidate is trying to do in far-flung areas,” he said.
Er Rasheed asked people not to forget the role of NC MPs who represented state from time to time and said that all those who were voted to represent people of J&K unfortunately contributed nothing except getting personal benefits and benefitting a certain section of their near and dear ones.
