Govt forces cordon Bandipora village, launch search operation
Bandipora: Government forces on Saturday launched cordon and search operation in Check Arsala Khan-Malikhama village of northern Kashmir’s Bandipora District.
A senior police officer told KNO that acting on a credible input about presence of militants in the area, the joint teams of Army’s 14RR, Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off the village and launched door to door searches.
“House to house searches are being conducted in the area,” he said, adding, “No contact has been established with the militants yet.”
The search operation was going when reports last came in.
