Violation of MCC: Two Officers suspended in Bandipora
Bandipora: District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora has put two officers of Department of Health under suspension for violating Model Code of Conduct.
Officals told KNO, Chief Medical Officer Bandipora and Block Medical Officer Bandipora have been put under suspension after receiving complaint against them with visual evidence for violating Model Code of Code and misconduct under service rules.
After initial investigation by Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora who is also Nodal Officer for Model Code of Conduct, it was prima-facie established that the two officers attended a political meeting that was attended by a contesting candidate which is a case of violation of MCC and misconduct under service rules on part of these officers.
After the interim report, DEO Bandipora put both the officers under suspension with immediate effect and directed the superintendent of Police Bandipora to register an FIR against the officials under relevant clauses of law.
DEO also directed the Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora to conduct a detailed inquiry into the conduct of both the officers and has asked him to submit his report with the recommendation for taking further disciplinary action against them under law.
