Notorious drug peddler arrested
Sopore: Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a notorious drug peddler during naka checking at Batsuma Rafiabad in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
During naka checking at Batsuma Rafiabad, a Police party from Police Station Dangiwacha led by Station House Officer (SHO) Mudasir Nazar while checking a vehicle Alto-800 bearing Registration number JKO5G-5551 from which recovered 126 grams of Charas from the car and apprehended driver of car namely Naseer Ahmad Lone, son of Mohammad Maqbool Lone of Warepora Rafiabad accused was arrested and the contraband as well as vehicle are seized.
In this connection, a case under FIR No. 42/2019 under section 8/20 NDPS has been registered in Police Station Dangiwacha and investigation taken up .
People of the area hailed the efforts of district police for taking action against drug peddlers particular in Rafiabad areas.
