Shopian: The inhabitants of Langandora Trenz village of South Kashmir’s Shopian district here have expressed resentment against the successive regimes for failing to ensure adequate basic facilities in their village.
Inhabitants alleged that they have been neglected by the successive governments as the area lacks all the basic facilities.
“The lack of roads, water supply and inadequate power supply in the village has left the villagers here to lurch at large, they said, adding that the road in the village is in dilapidated condition and it has never been repaired or macadamized.
A local resident, Mudasir Ahmad said they have been left on God’s mercy as no department pays heed to their sufferings, thus compelling the residents to live in Dark Age.
“We have approached the concerned officials several times but all the promises on ground proved hoax,” locals said, urging the higher ups to look into the matter at an earliest so that they could have a sigh of relief.
District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Dr Owais Ahmed said that he will look into the matter as soon as possible.
“The demands of locals will be resolved soon and district administration would coordinate with them,” he assured.
