Workshop on personal hygiene, sanitation held

Srinagar: A workshop on Personal Hygiene and Sanitation was organized by District Police Kargil at DPL, Kargil, a police spokesman said.
The workshop was attended by about 250 police officials. It was inaugurated by Dr.Vinod Kumar-IPS Superintendent of Police Kargil. The programme started with address of Mujahid-ul-Haq-JKPS, Dy.SPHqrs. Kargil who extended warm and cordial welcome to the guest on behalf of District Police Kargil.
The aim of the programme was to raise awareness among the police officials of the district to improve their quality of life and promote healthy hygiene and sanitation practices, the spokesman added.
Three doctors from District Hospital Kargil namely Dr. ShiekhMuntazir, Dr. Nida Fatima and Dr.Kaneez Fatima spoke at length regarding this topic. Dr. ShieikhMuntazir in his address threw light on good personal hygiene habits. Dr.Nida Fatima while speaking on the occasion explained the medical, social and psychological concerns of poor Hygiene and Sanitation. Dr. Kaneez Fatima shared important Do’s and Don’ts with regard to dental hygiene.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Vinod Kumar-IPS implored the police officials to follow the advice of doctors in true spirit and keep themselves and their surroundings neat and clean. He stressed upon them to adopt good practice related to sanitation and hygiene.
He added that such programmes will be conducted in future too. All the participants were given chance to raise their queries and questions which resulted into a healthy interactive session. SP Kargil also presented mementoes to the doctors at the end of programme.
