Drug peddler arrested in Sopore, contraband substance recovered

Sopore: Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a suspected drug peddler in north Kashmir’s Sopore area of Baramullah district.
Police said that during a naka at Krankshivan Colony Sopore a suspect, Aamir Akbar Mir S/O Mohammad Akbar Mir R/0 Mumkak Sopore , was arrested.
“During search police recovered 50 bottles of contraband drug including MAXCOFF, CODEINE P COFF – T and CODEINE APDYL-T from his possession,” police said.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 18/ 2019 under relevant sanctions of law stands registered and further investigation is going on.
