Bootlegger arrested
Srinagar: Police in Anantnag arrested a bootlegger during a naka checking and recovered illicit liquor from his possession, a police spokesman said.
He said that a police party headed by DO Sangam intercepted a Chevrolet vehicle bearing Reg. No. DL4CAD 9216 during a naka checking near the Sangam bridge. During search, bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the possession of Mohammad YounisGanie son of Mohammad AhsanGanie resident of PaniporaKulgam.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation in the matter, the spokesman added.
