Shopian encounter:Two militants killed, Operation on
Shopain: Two unidentified militants have been killed in an ongoing gunfight in Gadha pora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Official sources confirmed to KNO that house in which militants were trapped has been blasted and two militants have been.
However operation is still on, they said.
Meanwhile as per locals massive clashes have erupted in the area near encounter site which were on when this report was filled.
Earlier on specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area, a joint team of forces including 34 RR and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police launched search operation in Gadha pora Ratnipora area of Shopian.
On intensifying search operation towards the suspected spot, hiding militants fired upon forces which was retailated triggered encounter.
Meanwhile in wake of the gunfight Internet services have been snapped in Shopian while in other parts of South kashmir it has been reduced to 2G.(KNO)
