Ahead of JRL called protests, restrictions in city parts, Jamia Masjid closed

Srinagar: Restrictions have been imposed in Old City Srinagar and the historic Jamia Masjid has been closed for Friday prayers again on Friday.

 

Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has been put under house detention at his residence in Nigeen area of Hazratbal Srinagar.

 

According to KNO correspondent heavy forces personnel deployment is on the roads and concertina wire has been put on streets as well.

 

Jamia Masjid has been again closed for Friday prayers.

 

JRL had called for protests against the ‘custodial killing of Rizwan Asad’.

 

Rizwan died in police custody after he was arrested in a militancy related case.(KNO)
