Following grenade attack in Main Town Sopore, massive clashes erupt
Sopore: Clashes erupted in Main town following a grenade attack by suspected militants on CRPF on Thursday.
Officials said that a grenade was hurled towards CRPF near State Bank of India in Main Town, that exploded with a bang.
The explosion created panic in the area.
Following attacks clashes erupted between protesters and forces.
“Protesters resorted to stone pelting,” eye witnesses said.
Forces teargassed the protesters to disperse them, however, they engaged them in pitched battles.
Clashes are going on in the area.
