CASO launched in two Sopore villages
Sopore: Forces on Monday launched a Cordon and Search Operations in two villages of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports said a joint team of forces including Army’s 22RR ,SOG of J&K Police and CRPF jointly launched a search operation in Lattishart village of Zaingeer Sopore in this morning and conducted house to house searches in the area.
A top police officer of Sopore confirming the search operation said that following inputs about presence of militants movement in the area, a search operation was launched.
Meanwhile, a search operation was also launched in this evening in Krankshivan area of Sopore.
A joint team of forces including Army, Police and CRPF jointly launched search operation in Krankshivan area and conducted house to house searches in the area, officials said, adding that the searches were launched following the inputs about the presence of militants there.
Searches in the area continued for many hours. However, the searches yielded nothing.
