Two houses, cowshed damaged in Sopore blaze
Sopore: Two residential houses and a cowshed were completely gutted in a fire incident at Magray Pora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. The fire broke out on late Wednesday night.
Reports said that fire broke out from the cowshed of Ghulam Qadir Baba and spread to other nearby houses, resulting in complete damage to two residential houses and a cowshed.
“Two residential houses that were damaged belong to Ghulam Mohammad Baba, son of Late Mohammad Saifudin Baba and Siraj-din Baba, son of Late Ghulam Mohiudin Baba,” locals said.
The fire tenders with the help of locals doused the flames and prevented the fire from spreading to other nearby houses in the locality.
Property worth lakhs of rupees was completely gutted in the mishap, officials said, adding the cause of fire was said to be charcoal that was stored at the cowshed.
