Elderly man killed in gas cylinder blast
Bandipora: An elderly man died after an LPG gas cylinder exploded in their house in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on late Thursday.
Reports said that a gas cylinder blast rocked the house of Abdul Salam Najar son of Fatima Najar resident of Chana Mohalla Inderkote Sumbal in Bandipora district late Thursday evening. The incident also led to fire in the kitchen.
Reports said that an 80- year old man who was identified as Ghulam Ahmad Najar son of Ghulam Mohammad Najar died in the incident. The blast also damaged the kitchen where the cylinder was put.
A senior police official also confirmed the incident and said soon after information was received a team of fire tenders and police reached the spot and put the fire under control. (GNS)
