Cross LOC trade facilitation center hit by shells in Poonch, trade suspended
Poonch: Trade facilitation centre (TFC) Poonch, the operational center of cross LoC trade came under intense mortar shelling on Wednesday afternoon as cross LOC exchange of gunfire continues in the region.
Officials told KNO that several shells fired by Pakistan landed in the compound of the TFC.
“Panic spread in the centre as explosions and smoke shook the centre,” he said.
Meanwhile officials told KNO that trade was suspended urgently soon after TFC came under shelling.
He added that there is some loss of property but no loss of life has yet been reported.
India and Pakistan armies are trading gunfire in some areas across the line of Control.
Officials said that Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation which was effectively retaliated by Indian Army.
