Shooting stone kills 22-year-old shopkeeper in Poonch
Poonch: A 22-year-old shopkeeper was killed after hit by a shooting stone amid heavy rainfall in Gursai area of Mendhar in Poonch district of Jammu division on Monday.
Reports said that the shopkeeper identified as Umar Farooq (22) son of Noor Hussain of Sanjoite, Gursaie was hit by a shooting stone when he was busy trying to drain out the water that had accumulated in front of his shop amid heavy rainfall at Gali Sanjoite.
The impact of the shooting stone was so huge that Umar died on the spot, they said.
SDPO, Mendhar Neeraj Padyar said that they have also received information regarding the shopkeepers death.
“A police party has been sent to the area to ascertain the actual details,” SDPO said. (GNS)
