Highway: 4000 trucks cross Jawahar tunnel, one way traffic through
Srinagar: One way traffic is plying on the strategic Srinagar-Jammu highway on Friday. Authorities said that almost 4000 trucks have crossed the Jawahar tunnel to reach winter capital.
An official at the Traffic police department said that there are no stranded vehicles on the highway.
“Around 4,000 trucks crossed the Jawahar Tunnel on Thursday night to reach Jammu,” the official said.
The highway is the only road connectivity of the valley with the rest of the World and is usually shut due to landslides and shooting stones incidents over the mountainous track.
