Three drug peddlers, associate apprehended
Sopore: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested three drug peddlers and an associate in two different nakas at Laiser Crossing and Parrypora Rafiabad Crossing.
Police officials told ‘Kashmir Vision’ that a naka was laid at Laiser Crossing during which one person namely Yasir Mushtaq Lone, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone of Patoosa Rafiabad alongwith his associate namely Omer Farooq Mir, son of Farooq Ahmad Mir of Tragpora Logri Warpora traveling in a TataTiago Car without registration number in were apprehended along with 135 grams of Charas.
A case under FIR number 24/2019 under section 8/20, 29 NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Dangiwacha, police said.
Similarly, a naka was also laid at Parrypora Crossing during which two persons identified as Showkat Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Rasool Khan and Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar both residents of Reban Sopore were apprehended.
Police said 275 grams of Charas were recovered from their possession, adding that a case under FIR number 26/2019 under section 8/20,29 Act has been registered in police station Dangiwacha in this regard.
They said investigation in both the cases have been taken up.
