Srinagar Ring Road: Rs 1.34 Cr distributed to Sumbal land owners

Bandipora: Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir Tuesday held a Revenue camp in Sumbal to settle various land related cases and disbursed an amount of Rs 1.34 crore as land compensation for land acquisition of ambitious Srinagar Ring Road project.
The camp was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Sumbal Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari, Tehsildar and other revenue officials. During the camp, various land related disputes were resolved.
Land acquisition cases for the ambitious Srinagar Ring road were also taken up in the camp and several cases were resolved and the compensation amounting to Rs 1.34 crore were disbursed among the beneficiaries on spot.
Speaking on the occasion Mir said the aim of holding the camp was to provide relief to the people by reaching at their doorstep instead of them visiting the district offices.
During the camp, the ADC Bandipora was briefed with regard to the status of the land acquisition proceedings, including issuance of final award and disbursement of land compensation to owners. It was informed that the efforts were being made to provide land compensation which was fair and in accordance with the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act.
