Clashes, shutdown in Maisuma after NIA team leaves Malik’s residence
Srinagar: Soon after the NIA raid on the residence of JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik ended, Maisuma area erupted with clashes between youth and government forces, taking place.
Witnesses said that soon after the team was planning to leave the place people who has assembled in nearby lanes and bylanes started protesting and hurled stones on the NIA team and the police personnel accompanying them.
They said that scores of youth took to streets in Maisuma area of uptown Srinagar against the raid and engaged forces in clashes.
A partial shutdown was also observed in the area, the witnesses said.
