Police files charge sheet against man accused of ‘harboring’ militants
Sopore: Police Thursday said that it presented a charge sheet against accused person in ULA (P) Act before Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Sopore.
Sopore Police has produced a charge sheet against accused person identified as Abdul Wadood Lone @ Bilal, son of Abdul Gani Lone of NajarMohallaBomai in ULA (P) Act before Chief Judicial Magistrate Sopore.
It is apt to mention here that the accused person was arrested on 29.06.2016 on the charges of harbouring two HM militants Altaf Ahmad Mir, son of Abdul Rashid Mir of BrathKalanSopore and Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Khaliq Lone of WussanPattan along with their arms ammunition in his residential house and both the militants were killed during an encounter.
Regarding the incident, a case FIR No. 62/2016 was registered in Police Station Bomiasopore and accused namely Abdul Wadood Lone was booked under section 13, 19 ULA (P) Act in the case.
Officials in police said investigation of the case was closed as challaned.
