Atul Kumar Goel is the new DIG south Kashmir
Srinagar: Following injuries to Amit Kumar in a gunfight, government transferred the Deputy Inspector General of Police North Kashmir Range, Atul Kumar Goel and posted him as Deputy Inspector general of Police South Kashmir range.
An order to this effect was issued by the Home department late Wednesday.
The order stated that the incumbent DG NKR, who was injured during a gunfight with militants and is undergoing medical treatment, his posting orders shall be notified separately.
Meanwhile the government has transferred and posted Muhammad SulemanChoudhary, Incharge DIG Udhampur-Reasi range as DIG North Kashmir range.
The order stated that BhimSenTuti DIG DKR shall hold the additional charge of Udhampur-Reasi range.
Vivek Gupta, incharge DIS JSK, the order stated, shall hold the charge of DIG Rajouri-Poonch range in addition to his duties.
