Srinagar: The much awaited Sarai at Govt Lalla Ded Hospital Srinagar was thrown open Wednesday by Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education Atal Dulloo during an inaugural ceremony in the presence of Dr Samia Rashid, Principal GMC Srinagar, Dr Kunzes Dolma, Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Javaid Choudhary, Dr Shabir Siddiqui, Medical Superintendent, Lalla Ded Hospital and Dr Fara Shafi, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Lalla Ded Hospital.

The Sarai will provide services to the attendants of the patients visiting the facility from far flung areas and have to stay within the Hospital for necessary treatment. The attendants of such patients can avail the Sarai facility, the administration said.

“It has been personal efforts of the Principal GMC, Dr Samia Rashid, who provided necessary logistics and manpower support to make the working of Sarai possible and achievable. Dr Shabir Siddiqui worked tirelessly and coordinated with the higher-ups for making the Sarai kick-off in the best interest of people,” it added.
