Six persons arrested in Tral areas during nocturnal raids

Pulwama: In the aftermath of Lethpora attack, authorities have arrested two youth from Panzgam area of Pulwama on Friday who were repairing a tower in Lethpora at the time of attack that left dozens of CRPF men dead and several others wounded.
Official sources told ‘Kashmir Vision’ that two youth identified as Musaib Rashid Shah and BasitManzoorSofi, both residents of Panzgam were repairing a tower in Lethpora at a time when the attack took place.
The youth were arrested for questioning and are still under police custody.
Besides, six persons including four who are in their forties were arrested during nocturnal raids in Larve and Narbal areas of Kakapora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Six persons in these areas including four who are above forty years and identified as Abdul Gani, Abdul Rashid, Rafiq Ahmad and Ghulam Ahmad were arrested, locals said.
Meanwhile, clashes also erupted between youth and forces in Kakapora area near railway station after youth pelted stones on forces, who in retaliation used tear gas and sound shells to disperse the agitating youth.
Moreover, forces have allegedly ransacked property and beaten family members of Jaish-e-Muhammad Commander Mudasir Ahmad Khan in Midoora area of Tral.
Notably, the attack in Lethpora took place on Srinagar-Jammu highway.
On Friday, the traffic on highway remained suspended for many hours as high level teams were seen at Lethpora attack spot to investigate the nature and circumstances of the attack.
