Pulwama attack fallout: MFN status to Pakistan withrawn

New Delhi: Government of India on Friday withdrew the Most Favoured Nation status given to Pakistan.

The development comes after the deadly Fidayeen attack that killed 45 CRPF personnel in Pylwama district of South Kashmir.

The attacker too was killed after he rammed explosives laden SUV into the forces convoy on Srinagar Jammu strategic highway on Thursday.

The decision to withraw Most favoured nation (MFN) status withdrawn to Pakistan was announced by Arun jaitle.

According to reports PM Narendra Modi has said that the forces have been given free hand to respond to the attack.

Meanwhile a cabinet meeting on security situation in valley and to discuss the Pulwama attack is underway at Modi’s residence.
